My Mystical Morning Routine
Starting the day with a positive affirmation + water
As soon as I open my eyes I look at the nightstand next to my bed and see a positive affirmation card. It’s a great way to begin the day. I found these Mindful Affirmations for Abundance from Intelligent Change and love the message they infuse into my day. The stand that the deck comes with is very cute. I change my affirmation about once per week, usually on Sundays as a nice reset.

Before I do anything else I make sure to hydrate! On my best days I’ll make warm lemon water
Meditate for 10 minutes
I like finding my meditations on YouTube, I especially looks for ones that help me visualize. Any feeling I want to create and carry into my day I can achieve by meditating on it first thing in the morning. This practice has been so important to me for my overall mental health and helping with times of depression. After a good meditation, I feel my energy rising and I start buzzing with happiness and optimism. I feel myself becoming light and airy and feel myself smiling uncontrollably. It’s a feeling that I carry with me throughout the day. The days that I meditate go a lot better than the days that I don’t. Really good ideas and inspirations easily flow to me and I just feel good energy flowing through me and all around me. Meditation affects my outlook, mood, and behaviors in a really profound way. It even helps me get through working my 9-5 job and keeps my mindset fixed on achieving my greater vision. On YouTube, I type in the vibe I want to feel for the day and can find many meditation video options that pop up. For instance, I usually search for “positive day, self love, relaxation, dream life, creativity meditations” or really any feeling I want to feel. This is your sign to try out meditation!
It’s all about what finding what works best for each unique soul and how one can set aside time to intentionally connect with their higher self.
Magical morning coffee
Lately I’ve been making coffee with intention. My latest is cinnamon magic. I scoop a lil spoonful & connect with it then let my energy of intention flow into the cinnamon from my mind down into my heart, and finally through my fingertips before sprinkling it over my cup of coffee. I use my spoon as a magic wand, as I stir I say “With blessings to all and harm to none, I infuse this morning coffee with love, prosperity, and fun. It doesn’t have to rhyme but I just think it makes it even more whimsical. The truth is that it’s not necessarily about what you say, it’s about the intention and thought forms. Anyone can make up their own spell for anything. It can work for tea, lemon water, etc you name it.
Magical shower
I imagine that the water is washing any pain and limiting thoughts away. When I feel that the step of my mind and body being purified is complete, I move into imagining that the water is glowing with the most beautiful, golden light. I imagine blessings washing over me and over my life with the water and feel my soul and body drenched in glitter
Saging my room, stretching, journaling, getting ready
I love opening my windows and burning sage to cleanse and celebrate my space. I use my energy to create the intention for negative energy and emotions to be lifted away and it helps to promote healing of my mind, body, and spirit. If I have more time in the morning I will put out my yoga mat and stretch or follow along to a yoga video before getting dressed and fully ready for my day.
